Contact

The best way to reach us about anything to do with ManitobaPiano.com is email — hello@palliser.music. We read every message and respond, usually within a couple of business days.

What to write about

A quick guide to which topics get the fastest useful reply, and what to include so we can help:

You’re a parent trying to reach a specific teacher

Use the inquiry form on the teacher’s listing page rather than emailing us. Every teacher’s listing has a “Contact” panel that goes directly to them — we don’t sit between you and the teacher, so a message sent through the listing form reaches them much faster than one sent to us.

If you can’t find the teacher you’re looking for, or the inquiry form on their listing is broken, then email us and we’ll help.

You’re a piano teacher in Manitoba who wants to be listed

The full process is on the for teachers page, including what a listing includes and what we ask of you. When you’re ready, start your application — Linda will reach out within a few days to schedule the pre-launch conversation.

If you have questions before applying, email us with “Teacher inquiry —” in the subject and we’ll answer them.

You want to leave a review

Reviews go on the teacher’s listing page — look for the “Reviews” tab and the “Leave a review” link. Every review goes through moderation (see the review policy) and appears once it’s approved.

If a review you submitted was held or rejected and you think we got it wrong, email us with “Review appeal —” in the subject.

You need to correct or remove something

Common things: a credential on a teacher’s listing that’s out of date, an inquiry sent through the wrong form, a review with a factual error, a privacy request.

Email us with a subject line that names the issue clearly (e.g. “Correction — MRMTA membership year”). Include the URL of the page or listing involved. We’ll reply and complete the fix within a week for most requests, longer for anything that needs Linda to verify or re-vet a credential.

You’re a journalist, researcher, or association contact

Email us with “Media —” or “Research —” in the subject line. We’re happy to talk about the site, how the JV is set up, aggregate data on Manitoba’s piano-teaching landscape, or anything else that helps people understand the space better. Linda usually handles these on the Manitoba side and loops in Spencer for the technical or JV-structure questions.

Something’s technically broken

A page that won’t load, a form that won’t submit, a search that returns weird results. Email us with the URL, roughly what you tried to do, and (if you can) the browser and device you were on. Spencer handles these; screenshots help.

Who reads what

  • Linda — teacher applications, credential verification questions, review moderation, editorial content, association partnerships (MRMTA, RCM examiner questions, etc.), community and recital contacts.
  • Spencer — technical issues, privacy requests, and anything about how the site itself works.

Both of us see the shared inbox. Whichever of us picks up your message will loop the other in if they’re the right person to answer — you don’t need to guess.

Response time

We aim to reply to every message from a real person within two business days. Applications and review moderation can take longer if we’re catching up after a busy week; anything urgent (a listing showing wrong contact info, a review that’s about a real safety concern) jumps the queue.

If a week has passed and you haven’t heard from us, please resend — occasionally a message ends up in a spam folder or gets snagged by an over-eager filter.

Where we’re based

Linda works out of Manitoba; Spencer works out of Alberta. There’s no walk-in office to visit — the site is run remotely between the two of us. Correspondence is by email; we’ll set up a phone or video call from there if the topic needs one.
